Prestea, Breman chiefs endorse Mahama

The Chief of Prestea Traditional Area, Nana Ntaboah Prah IV has endorsed the candidature of President John Mahama ahead of the crucial upcoming December 7 general elections.

According to him, he’s convinced that the President needs another term of office as he’s ensure that the township has gotten its fair share of developmental projects that has been undertaken by the Mahama administration.

Speaking at his palace during the courtesy call on him by the Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, and his entourage, as part of his four-day tour of the Western Region, Nana Ntaboah Prah IV said Ghanaians will do themselves a great disservice if they fail to retain the President in power to continue with implementing his policies and programmes aim at developing Ghana to an appreciable level.

The chief added that voting against the NDC parliamentary candidate, for the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency, Wisdom Robert Cudjoe would delay the development of the area.

However, the chief of Breman, Nana Boatei Kunten Seraman II in the Ashanti region, Nana Kwankye Safo II declared that President John Mahama will win the elections.

"They said I am doing politics but please I am not doing politics, as human beings when you see a good thing [you say it], I cannot stand anywhere and insult the president as other people are doing. When you are a president, it is not by human might but by the will of God that you occupy that position."

"If President Mahama has been able to provide good roads in Breman and continues to bring development to other areas in Ghana, then the December 7 elections is his for the taking."

Nana Boatei Kunten Seraman II noted that, "So, let me say that it is God who has given us Mahama, let us support him and pray for God’s guidance and strength for him to finish the race."

The chief made this known when President Mahama visited the chief at his palace as part of Mahama's four-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region – the fortress of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
