Black Stars coach Avram Grant resigned shortly after the tournament, a situation that seems to have ended the tenure of his backroom staff, but some of the Israeli's men have been unable to follow him out of the country as they are yet to be paid for their efforts in Gabon.

Spanish media outlet Diari de Terragona reports that assistant coach Nus, the 32-year-old who first worked as a video analyst during Ghana's 2015 AFCON campaign in Equatorial Guinea, has stranded in an Accra hotel for the last two weeks alongside his colleague Lawrence, enduring a frustrating wait to be paid.

"We have tried everything, knocking all possible doors, but there is no way," Nus said. "They keep telling us, 'tomorrow, tomorrow'."

Nus is set to be alone in his struggle as Englishman Lawrence, 46, is flying back to the UK due to family issues.

But the Spaniard, who also an assistant Technical Director for Rayo Vallecano, says he will wait as long as it takes to receive his payment because he knows he will never receive his due once he leaves.

"I'll stay, whatever it takes," he said.

The Ghana Football Association, meanwhile, is yet to name Avram Grant's successor.
