Mukarama Abdulai scored his seventh goal of the 2018 FIFA U-17 FIFA World Cup to emerge as the greatest Ghanaian scorer in the competition’s history.

The Black Maidens suffered a 4-2 defeat on penalties after their quarter finals clash had ended 2-2 in regulation time against Mexico.

Mukarama Abdulai who is the leading top scorer of the tournament registered the opener against the Central Americans to take her goal tally to seven and toppled Jane Ayiyam, who bagged six goals in two competitions in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as the sole all-time Ghanaian top scorer of the tournament.

Abdulai scored three times against Uruguay, before she registered a goal against Uruguay and followed it with a brace against Finland.

The 16-year-old Northern Ladies striker scored Ghana’s opener in their two all draw against Mexico, but the West Africans exited the tournament 4-2 on penalties.
