JB Danquah Adu’s remains is expected to be laid in state at the forecourt of the State House today, April 15 for a state supported funeral.
Ahead of that, Hon Samuel Attah Akyea paying tribute to the late legislator in Parliament said, “If the blood of Abel is crying for revenge as the Bible says, then don’t give the wicked one peace. For certainly, your life was not equal to the value of a mobile phone.”
“This house has lost a gentleman of pleasant disposition. You will never believe whether he even had problems. He was always smiling. My political twin, ‘damirifa due’. Extend our greetings to Dr. Danquah,” he added.
The late JB Danquah Adu left behind a wife and two children.
He once served as a Deputy Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs. He was the Abuakwa North MP from the year 2000 but lost the seat to the New Patriotic Party’s Prof. Samuel Amoako in 2008. He returned in 2012 to win the seat.
The grandson of the late J.B Danquah, a Ghanaian statesman and pan-Africanist was an accountant by profession.
