The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah says he will use 25% of his salary as seed money to set up an Education Trust Fund to enhance education in the area should he become a Member of Parliament.
According to him, the intended move is to ensure that a lot of children are enrolled in school as well as make teaching and learning materials available for better education.“We have reached a certain point where a lot more people need to get involved and not just complain. If you claim things are not going right I don’t think it is enough for all of us to be spectators,” the 33-year-old former host of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show told said on Starr FM’s Starr Chat.
Oppong-Nkrumah won the NPP parliamentary primary in Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern region with 219 votes. His contenders, John Obiri Yeboah and Bright Asamoah Acquah had 145 and 54 votes respectively.
