Usher is one of the country's most ubiquitous musicians. He's released nine albums, won eight Grammys, and has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart nine times. But you know what Usher didn't have? A giant tattoo on the back of his head. And this weekend, he made sure to change that.
According to a post from tattoo artist Dillon Forte, he inked Usher's head at his Venice, California, shop, Sri Yanta Tattoo . He said the design was "inspired by transformation, Sacred geometry and an ancient Berber talisman to mark the cardinal points in the sky and allow travelers to find their way across vast distances."
Take a look at Forte's Instagram for yourself:

Usher released a surprise collaborative album, A, with acclaimed hip-hop producer Zaytoven last year, and has been rumored to be working on a Confessions II album, a follow up to his 2004 classic, which was a vessel for absolute bangers like "Yeah!" "Burn," and the titular song, "Confessions: Part II". The original Confessions album turns 15 this year, so if Confessions II comes out, the timing would certainly work (if he's pleased with the progress. Albums are scrapped all the time, so don't get too attached.).
It's been a great year for celebrities and unique tattoos-we notably got a kick out of actor Shia LaBeouf's 'C R E E P E R' tattoo a few months ago, which may or may not be for a movie role. Even with Usher's located right on the back of his dome, it's probably a better look than Shia's-Usher's certainly fits strongly with the aesthetic that he's built for himself over the years.
Usher turned 40 last fall, so it's definitely a testament to his level of coolness that he can get something like this done and not raise too many eyebrows. Honestly, it looks pretty solid!
