Dangote Cement, Ghana, has announced plans to intensify its production capacity in the country.

This would increase the company’s distribution across Ghana, and help to reduce cost of cement in the process.

Work is also almost complete on the cement company’s new factory in Takoradi to boost production capacity.

Management also believes the expansion would boost the company’s contribution to the national economy, seeing as how the company has paid 2 million dollars in taxes already.

Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Cement Ghana Ltd, Tor Nygard says

“We have been bagging our finished products in Tema for the past six years and we believe that we are now ready to establish a production plant in Takoradi to expand our base across the west African region and also create jobs for Ghanaians”. He was speaking to Accra-based Citi FM.
