Venus Williams has finally spoken on the fatal car accident she is

The tennis star took to Facebook on June 30 to share an emotional post to the victims of the crash,  US Weekly reports.

She wrote,  “I am devasted and heartbroken by this accident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Jerome Barson and I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers."

The accident took place in Palm Beach Gardens, a small city north of Miami on June 9th.

According to a Police report, Williams is "at fault" in the traffic crash. It resulted in the death of a 78-year-old  Jerome Barson.

The report showed that the 37-year-old tennis star had slowed in the middle of an intersection before getting hit by Barson's car.

At the time of the accident, the car was being driven by his 68-year-old wife named Linda.

The crash resulted in Barson's head injury while his wife suffered broken bones and other injuries.

Due to the head trauma, the driver's husband kept in intensive care. He died two weeks later at the hospital.

Williams is facing a lawsuit from the family of the victim.

Meanwhile, the athlete is ranked 11th at Wimbledon, the year's third Grand Slam tennis event. It begins Monday in England.
