Former Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has hinted at returning to the Ghana Premier League, stoking rumours that he may be courting the vacant coaching post at Asante Kotoko.

The Japanese trainer took to twitter on Tuesday to say he would be back managing in Ghana "soon".

He tweeted [sic]: "I miss Ghana Premier League, n I hope Ghana Premier League does too.  If so, two shall meet soon."

Asante Kotoko on Sunday parted ways with Croat trainer Dzravko Logarusic after the club went four matches without a win.

The coach had been in charge for 11 matches - winning five, drawing four and losing twice - while racking up 19 points to put the Kumasi giants third on the log of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Assistant coach Godwin Ablordey - a former captain and team manager at the club - has been tasked to handle the team on an interim basis while management hunt for a substantive manager.

The likes of Maxwell Konadu, recently the assistant coach of Ghana national team the Black Stars, and club legend Frimpong Manso have all been rumoured to be in the running for the post.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi was in charge of Hearts of Oak during the first round of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season, leaving the club after several disputes with management.

He went on to manage Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah before leaving to coach Tiger FC in Cambodia.
