Prior to the club’s dull 0-0 draw with Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday, Logarusic was blocked from overseeing training with his players by some irate fans.
And despite public backing from the management of Kotoko, the Croatian coach was relieved of his duties later on Sunday after the club’s winless run was stretched to four consecutive games.
The dismissal of Logarusic has divided opinion among the Kotoko faithful; however, Jarvis Peprah insists it was the right move.
The former Kotoko CEO believes Logarusic shot himself in the foot with some poor tactical switches.
“I’m very happy with Lugarusic’s sack and I think it’s a timely intervention for the club. The team hasn’t been playing well and all boils down to the tactics of the coach,” Peprah said in an interview with Happy FM.
“In fact, you could see clearly from yesterday’s game that we [Kotoko] didn’t have a good coach. Our striker [Yakubu Mohammed] was caught off-side several times and the coach did nothing about it.
“Christopher Bonney was marauding the left flank of Kotoko’s defense at will and the coach did nothing to salvage the situation.”
Zdravko Logarusic was in charge of Kotoko for just 11 games, recording five wins, four draws, and just two loses. The Croat leaves the side in second place.
