Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is set for a four months injury layoff after undergoing a knee surgery.
The Midfielder was injured in the second half of their 1-1 Premier League draw with Norwich in matchday 14 but remained till the end of the game.
After the game, Arsene Wenger had revealed that the 30-year-old Spain international had finished the match 'on one leg'.
Speaking after their 3-1 win over Sundarland just last weekend, Wenger confirmed that the midfielder had undergone surgery will be out for four months.
“Santi wanted to have a chance to come back quickly so he didn't want to last too long for 25 opinions and he decided to go straight away,” Wenger said of Carzola’s decision to undergo surgery.
“The guy said, 'look it's a clear case, it's a rupture of the external knee ligament'. And he said 'Okay, let's do it straight away.''
In his absence Aaron Ramsey started against Sunderland in midfielder and was impressive, assistaing and scoring one goal each.
