Dancetown Divas SLAYED 'World of Dance' Redemption

ICYMI, World of Dance last night was all about the dance competition show's latest addition: the Redemption Round. After losing in the Duels, Latin junior team group Dancetown Divas won their Redemption Round performance, taking down hip-hop group MKAM.

Here's what went down:

The Redemption Round allows the two highest-scoring acts who lost their Duels one last chance to compete against each other, with whoever wins moving onto The Cut. Junior team Dancetown Divas first competed against JDC in the Duels, and while judge Derek Hough complimented them for being "clean, together and unified," they ultimately lost out to JDC by just one point (95 to 96).

Even though they missed this win, their score was exactly what they needed to qualify for the Redemption Round against hip-hop group MKAM.

For their Redemption Round performance, both teams had to perform to the same song, "Level Up" by Ciara. Dancetown Divas returned to their Latin roots, with an energy-infused routine, while MKAM actually ended up adding in some Latin flavor of their own.

Still, by the end of the show, the Dancetown Divas clearly showed they came to kick a** and take names, even bringing Jennifer Lopez to her feet with a standing ovation. The group danced their way to Redemption victory, securing their spot in The Cut.

Watch the fiery battle for yourself:

Oh, and did you catch who won last weeks Redemption?

Canadian contemporary dancer Briar Nolet wowed the judges, even moving J.Lo to tears (I know, right?!). After a Duels performance inspired by her battle with epilepsy , she brought the house down in her Redemption performance, showing the judges and viewers that she truly is a fighter and survivor.

Who will win World of Dance's Redemption Round next week? It's anybody's guess, but you already know it'll be a performance you'll have to see to believe.
