You have to see it to believe it.
There is a definite satisfaction gained from watching someone peel a face mask off (not to mention doing it yourself). So much so that it's become a ridiculously viral trend—even rivaling Dr. Pimple Popper. But it's officially just gone to the next level—people are now applying painful face-peeling masks to their whole bodies.
YouTuber Izabela Stress posted a video earlier this year showing her full-body peel using a combination of black masks and it already has over three million views. The video is nothing short of terrifying—the sound of sniffling can be heard throughout.
Despite the obvious what-the-heck-were-you-thinking nature of this idea, it didn't take copycats long to catch on, making this crazy idea a full-on trend in the world of beauty blogging.
Here's the thing: These masks are popular for a reason—they clean out your pores and make your skin as soft as a baby's butt once you're finished. But all that pore-pulling action is also painful. It's tearjerking enough on your peach-fuzz facial hairs, but gets worse in areas where you might have a little more hair, like your upper lip.
And, beauty gods forbid, if you accidentally get some on your brows, forget about it. Covering your whole body with these super glue-y masks is a new level of pore-refining dedication.
Plus, considering that just one tube of the most popular Boscia Luminizing Black Mask costs $34...this is also a pretty expensive challenge.
So if you try this at home, don't say we didn't warn you.
