The video shows the 30-year-old, Icelandic behemoth strap in for two full deadlift reps of 805 pounds. As he notes in the post:

"Last light deadlift session before Worlds Strongest Man 2019! 365kg / 805lbs for 2 reps. Im ten days out and Im ready to take whats mine!"

Read that caption again. What's off?

"LIGHT deadlift session"?!?!?!?!

No. That is a feat. And as he notes, it's all in preparation for the World's Strongest Man Competition in Bradenton, Florida beginning on June 13th. Bjrnsson will be defending his title at the competition. And it invites speculation about how big he'll go for the actual competition. ( He'd lifted a World Record setting 1,041 pounds at the Arnold Strongman Classic last year .)

If this considered a light deadlift for The Mountain, is his idea of a light beer a triple-hopped IPA? A light jog, a half-marathon? A light rain, a torrential downpour? A light jacket, an Arctic-ready parka?

Men's Health fitness director Ebenezer Samuel says that the two-off 805 deadlift from the current World's Strongest Man is no joke. "It's a bid deal when any human deadlifts 805 pounds, and they know it," he says. "Which is why Bjrnsson is being so cautious with his technique, like rocking into it, making sure to get his hips down. "
