Metallica Announces Free 'Metallica Mondays' Concert Streaming Series

If spending days on end confined to your house or apartment has you feeling a little sluggish at the start of the week, Metallica might just have your prescription. On Monday, the hall-of-fame heavy metal band announced it would debut a new streaming concert series called Metallica Mondays set to air every Monday night on Facebook and YouTube that would pull from the bands considerable archive of past show footage.

Need to take a break from Netflix before you binge-watch the entire library? Introducing our brand new concert series: #MetallicaMondays, debuting tonight on our YouTube channel and on Facebook for free! the band wrote in a statement posted to its Facebook page.

The series kicked off earlier this week with a video of Metallicas June 2019 Live at Slane Castle show in Ireland, which is still available on and s , and features hits like The Memory Remains, Ride the Lightning, Whiskey in the Jar, and The Unforgiven all within the first 20 minutes of the set.

So far, 'Metallica Mondays' also appears to be off to a strong start with fans, garnering more than 3 million views combined in two days of availability.

While Metallica has yet to announce which show it will broadcast nextand with more than 30 years of performances to pull from, it's anyone's guessfans can subscribe to the band's YouTube and Facebook pages to receive alerts when the next streaming session begins.
