Here’s How To Watch Every Episode of ‘Doom Patrol’

The world of superhero TV shows is a crowded one. Between the Arrowverse (the CW's numerous genre shows including Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl), The Boys, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Umbrella Academy , and Watchmen , there's a lot of choices for people who like to watch other people in masks kicking ass. In the opening moments of Doom Patrol, yet another entry into this crowded field, Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk) breaks the fourth wall and acknowledges that yes, it's another superhero show. But this is one that stands out among the fraynot only does it have the action and drama that you crave, but it comes packaged with a ton of self-deprecating humor, fourth wall breaks, and easter eggs for old time comic fans.

Doom Patrol's first season wasn't seen by many, premiering exclusively on DC Universe, but when HBO Max launched, the entire first season migrated to that new super streaming platform, opening the show up to a considerably larger viewing audience. And with a star-studded cast that features Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, and Timothy Dalton among its heroes, this is one that any fan of the genre should take a little bit of time to figure out how to watch.

If you haven't seen the show yet, there's currently a fun promotion to get any and all superhero fans on the hookyou can stream the first three episodes for free on DC's YouTube channel.

The second season of Doom Patrolnow a Max exclusivehits the service on June 25th, with the release of three brand new episodes (one episode per week will be released after that, following the traditional HBO/television model). The second season ups the ante even more, with the same fun cast returning, but a bigger budget and higher production value, granted the network shift.

If you like what you see (and you probably will), you can watch the rest of the 15-episode first season, and the brand new second season by subscribing to HBO Max. Not only will you get to watch Doom Patrol, but you'll also get to watch DC movies like Wonder Woman and Justice League (and don't forget about the eventual #SnyderCut ). You'll also have access to other HBO Max originals like the excellent comedy-mystery Search Party (starring Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat) and Love Life, with Anna Kendrick. Plus, of course, you'll have the entire HBO library, with access to The Sopranos, The Wire, Westworld, and perhaps most enticing since you, of course, love superheroes, Watchmen.

So, hopefully you're ready for the most out-there, foul-mouthed, zero-to-hero superhero story on TV right now. Because now you're all ready to get started with Doom Patrol.
