The fight between Ghana and Nigeria over who best prepares the rich jollof is still a battle between both countries.

Nigerian artist, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known in showbiz industry as Wizkid has waded into the Ghana and Nigerian best jollof debate.

He has described the Ghanaian jollof as bad compared to the Nigerian food.

In an interview on  BBC radio 1Xtra interview in London, he said "I love Nigerian Jollof 100 percent, but when I go to New York or I am in Ghana, my friend’s wife makes this crazy Ghana Jollof with some goat meat…it is bad!"

Not long ago, the British High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin said jollof from Ghana is superior to Nigerian jollof.

He said he enjoys telling his Nigerian friends Ghanaian jollof is tastier than Nigerian jollof.

Jollof is one of West Africa’s beloved staple dishes prepared with rice and spicy tomato sauce. Ghana and Nigeria have in recent times.

The question of who best prepares the meal has been the subject of fierce dispute over the years particularly between the two countries.
