Stanlee Ohikhuare's son debuts first movie

David Ohikhuare, son of award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer Stanlee Ohikhuare has released his first film titled “Dear John”.

The nine-year-old filmmaker is already making waves as he recently won the award for Best Movie by a Kid at the Realtime International Film Festival held in Lagos in September, 2016.

“Dear John” directed by the young Ohikhuare starts off with a young boy, Duval writing a letter to his friend and brother named John. The letter is read aloud as he puts his pen to paper and recounts the events that occur when he was a toddler and a scorpion snuck into his home.

The short film produced by his father features a cast made up of his family including the film director, his father, and his siblings: Daniel Ohikhuare, Stephanie Ohikhuare and Stacy Ohikhuare.

The movie has already been chosen for five other international film festivals, according to information shared on the senior Ohikhuare’s YouTube page.

Stanlee Aideloje Ohikhuare known as Stanlee Ohikhuare in the Nigerian film industry is a talented filmmaker, who is popular for his short films, thrillers and stunts. The award-winning cinematographer wears many hats; he is also a visual effects creator, video editor, 3D animator and a stunts director.
