Ghanaian video director, Nana Asihene has chided organisers of the annual 4Syte Music Video Awards for choosing to celebrate mediocrity over creative works.

His comments come on the back of how the 7th edition of the award held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday was organised.

The 2015 edition of the awards has received several backlashes from a section of the public and some nominees who claim not to have been treated fairly by the organisers. Some have alleged that organisers failed to give them nominee pass for the event.

On the night, winners of two [Best Highlife Music Video and Best Gospel Music Video] categories were not announced. This has led to some nominees declaring their intention to go to court while others have charged their colleagues to boycott subsequent editions.

According to the organisers, they did not announce the winners of those categories because they were hard pressed for time.
