Musician and member of the Music Council of Ghana, Akosua Agyepong has dismissed reports of having said that the council cannot help its embattled president, Ekow Micah.

Her comments came on the back of an article on ghanaweb.com that “We can’t help Ekow Micah – Akosua Agyapong”.

“I never said we can’t help him. What I said was that the case has nothing to do with music. It is his private life and we don’t have all the facts regarding the issue. Why would I have said we will go meet the other party [Asamoah Gyan’s camp] and see what they can do to help us if indeed I had said we can’t help him? I didn’t say that,” she told Pulse.com.gh

A substance suspected to be Indian hemp was found in his room during a search by the police.

Ekow Micah was remanded into police custody to reappear on August 20, 2015, after appearing in court last Friday for possession of narcotics.
