Manchester United staged a sensational comeback to beat AS Monaco 5-3 in the first leg of their round of 16 clash on Tuesday at the Itihad Sports Stadium.
Radamel Falcao on his return to Manchester where he failed to shine with Manchester United, scored two goals, despite missing from the spot kick.
However, the Colombian international's two goals were not enough to prevent his side from a defeat as Sergio Aguero in a similar fashion scored two for Manchester City.

Monaco's teenage forward Kylian Mbappe then drove into the roof of the net before Willy Caballero prevented the visitors from going further ahead when he saved Falcao's tame penalty.
Danijel Subasic let Sergio Aguero's tame strike slip past him to make it 2-2 but Falcao's exquisite chip restored Monaco's lead.
However, City struck back in a grandstand finish as Aguero volleyed in an equaliser before John Stones tapped in from a corner.
And Leroy Sane added a fifth for the hosts when he fired in from Aguero's pass.
In the other round of 16 game Atletico Madrid secured a famous 2-4 away victory in Germany against Bayer o4 Leverkusen.
