Chief lynched by land guards at Addeman

Police suspect that the 45-year old chief was lynched by a gang of land guards in the community under the Ga West Municipal Assembly.

Police in Amasaman on Thursday found the lifeless body of the development chief of Addeman, Nii Tettey Sarban in the community with some deep cuts.

He is believed to have been ambushed by the gang about hundred meters away from his residence while he was on his way to join a group of elders to perform traditional rites as part of activities to lift the ban on noise making in the area.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue pending investigation.

Meanwhile, Accra-based TV3 reports that several residents in the area are beginning to flee the area.
