An Accra Circuit court has granted bail to one of the claimants to the presidency of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).
Lukman Abubakar together with three others was granted bail in the sum of GHC 10,000 with two sureties each.

Media reports suggest that a ‘self-imposed’ and NDC sponsored president of the Union Julian Mawuse Cobbinah to fuel the attacks. The party has not responded to this claims yet.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party also condemned the issues saying Abubakar was in pain after been manhandled by the police.
“We cannot phantom how and why the police will extend its bias hands in the handling of issues in this country to the students fraternity. This unreasonable act beats our imagination,” a statement by the Youth Wing of the NPP said.
