The Tamale High Court has given the ruling National Democratic Congress the go ahead to hold its parliamentary primary in the Bunkpurugu constituency to select a candidate to contest on the partys ticket for this years general elections.
The plaintiff in the case, Mr Berrick was disqualified by the party as a result of his alleged association with the National Democratic Party (NDP).

He later filed an injunction to prevent the party from going ahead with the primary. The injunction application was granted. However, on Wednesday, the Tamale Court upheld the earlier decision of the party to disqualify him. Two others were also disqualified.
This means those who are eligible to contest the primary are Anthony Gingong, Bonchel Abdulai, Japong Tahidu, Kolan Azumah and Dr Benson Kolan.
