Black Starlets face Niger on Wednesday in semi-finals

The Black Starlets will do battle with Niger in the semi-finals of the 2017 Africa U-17 Nations Cup at the Port Gentil Sports Stadium, Gabon on Wednesday.

Ghana topped group A with seven points, finishing the group phase as the only side that didn’t concede a goal.

Eric Ayiah, the skipper of the Black Starlets is the joint top scorer of the competition with four goals.

Ghana prior to reaching the last four enjoyed emphatic 4-0 and 5-0 wins against Cameroon and hosts Gabon in their opening and second group games, respectively but they were held to a goalless draw by Guinea in their final group A clash in a game coach Paa Kwesi Fabien fielded a weaker side.

The camp of the Black Stars has been hit by malaria outbreak with about four players having been affected, but they have undergone treatment to make them fit for the semi-final tie.

While, Niger navigated from group B after managing four points to place second to Mali who picked up seven (7) points.
