Stephen Appiah is reported to have called for disbandment of the entire technical team of the Black Stars, following a disappointing AFCON campaign.
Ghana failed to live up to the billing, when the placed fourth in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Avram Grant, the head coach of the Black Stars has parted ways with the Ghana by mutual consent, after his side's failure to win gold in the continental showpiece.

Stephen Appiah, who captained the Black Stars from 2002 to 2010 believes the entire technical team of the Black Stars should be dissolved

“For me I think they should dissolve the entire backroom staff, not only Grant but the entire technical team.”
“We need a total overhaul in thBlack e technical team; you can’t sack only the Coach and leave the rest. He was working with them so you have to dissolve the entire team.” He said.

Meanwhile Maxwell Konadu, the assistant coach of the Black Stars is expected to be named as caretaker coach, before the search for a substantive coach to handle the team.
