Black Stars players exhibit religious tolerance in camp

The Senior National Football Team of Ghana showed high level of religious tolerance in camp by holding both Islamic and Christian prayers, before the AFCON got underway way in Gabon.

The Black Stars have players with different religious belief, but the two notable ones upheld are Christianity and Islamic.

The team with the believe that they needed spiritual intervention in order to end their 35  years with a continental trophy held prayer session before kicking the first ball in the competition.

Agyemang Badu led the Christian prayers, whereas Fatau Dauda led the Islamic prayers.

The Black Stars subsequently won their first two group D games against Uganda and Mali by a goal each to progress to the quarter finals, with a game to spare.
