Ebusua Dwarfs were the team of the week for thrashing Asante Kotoko 4-1

Ebusua Dwarfs handed a high flying Asante Kotoko side a 4-1 defeat at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Sports Stadium on Sunday

Bright Lukman, last season’s GN Bank Division League top scorer put up perhaps his best performance in the Ghana Premier League, scoring two goals in their 4-1 massacre of Kotoko.

The victory against Dwarfs is their highest in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Yahaya Mohammed is the leading top-scorer of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) with 12 goals

10 players scored a brace after the first round of matches: Maxwell Baako of Wa All Stars, Latif Blessing of Liberty Professionals (scored a brace twice), Eric Bekoe of Hasaacas, Musah Ibrahim of Hearts of Oak, Saddick Adams of Berekum (twice) Chelsea, Magnus Ebo Duncan of Hasaacas , Yahaya Mohammed of Aduana Stars (thrice), Dauda Mohammed, Bright Adjei (Aduana Stars) and Bright Lukman (Dwarfs)

The first player to be sent off was Eric Kumi, for receiving a 2nd booking for taking off his shirt, after scoring against Medeama.

Emmanuel Hayford and Lord Ofushene of Dreams FC and Inter Allies respectively were the first two persons to see a direct red card, following a scuffle between them in their sides 2-2 draw.
