The left back was pulled off for Frank Acheampong in the 39th minute of the match following a heavy challenge from Ugandan forward Farouk Miya.

Schalke 04, in a tweet (below) have confirmed that their 22-year-old star will return to Gelsenkirchen for further examination after it was discovered that he has suffered a "bruised meniscus".

Rahman is capped 24 times for Ghana and participated in his first AFCON two years ago in Equatorial Guinea, helping Ghana to a second-place finish.
