The first round of matches of the 2017 AFCON have produced three wins in eight games.

Again, three wins were chalked in eight games in 2015, which is the same as the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.

Fouls

275 fouls have been committed in the tournament so far, with Morocco being the worst offender-27. But it was the Ivory Coast goalless against Togo that registered the highest fouls-46

Yellow cards recorded

The tournament has witnessed twenty yellow cards and Cameroon are the worst culprits with four cautions in their game against Burkina Faso.

Only one game has ended without any player receiving caution-the Ivory Coast goalless draw as much as it failed to produce a goal also came to an end without a booking.

Red cards

Just a player has been sent off after eight games played thus far: Lomalisa Joyce Mutambala of DR Congo was matched off, following a second bookable offence in his side’s 1-0 win over Morocco.

One red card in eight games: Kouassi Gervinho was culprit when Guinea held Ivory Coast to a 1-1 draw.

The tournament has produced 186 shots, with 65 of them being shots on target and  Tunisia have attempted the highest shots, 23, but couldn’t score any.
