Danish coach, Ove Pedersen is set to be appointed as new coach of Asante Kotoko, according to widespread reports.

The Porcupine Warriors have endured a torrid campaign so far this season, with the club’s winless run now stretching to six games after yet another loss to rivals Hearts of Oak in the Ghana @ 60 match last Sunday.

The club’s poor run saw Zdravko Logarusic axed as coach after just three months in charge, with Frimpong Manso being tasked to take charge on an interim basis.

However, Kotoko’s problems are still yet to be solved, with the club now sitting 5th on the league log.

Several reports in the local media suggest that the Kotoko hierarchy has not been impressed with the club’s current direction, and are bent on hiring Ove Pedersen as new boss.

The experienced Danish coach has had stints with several clubs in his native, including giants FC Midtjylland.

Pedersen is reportedly already in the country, and was in the stands as the Porcupine Warriors lost to Hearts of Oak last Sunday.

Pedersen last coached Danish second-tier side Hobro IK, where he left after the 2015/16 season.

If appointed the Danish will become the third coach to handle Kotoko this season.
