Kwesi Appiah among best coaches interviewed so far – GFA
The country’s football governing body has taken exception to claims that Kwesi Appiah is not fit to handle the Black Stars.

The Al Khartoum boss managed the Black Stars between 2012 and 2014, guiding the team to the World Cup in Brazil.
However, he was sacked after failing to qualify the team out of the group stages. The former Ghana U-23 coach’s name has again popped as a possible replacement for Avram Grant, who resigned as Black Stars coach in February.

And while many favour Kwesi Appiah’s return, others feel he is not the right man to steer the affairs of the team.
But the GFA has taken exception to claims that Appiah is incompetent enough for the job, insisting he is one of the best coaches they have interviewed so far.
"After juxtaposing Appiah's CV and achievements with that of those who applied for the post, the search committee thinks he is among the best," GFA spokesperson, Sannie Daara told Joy Sports.
“…Kwesi Appiah has handled the national team before, since then he has made important strides by making Al Khartoum one of the respected sides in the CECAFA region.”Sannie added that the committee tasked to recruit Ghana’s new coach must be allowed to do their work devoid of any pressure.

"People can have their personal opinions and that's absolutely fine but they must not seek to torpedo the work of the committee.
"..We must be patient by allowing the committee to do its job. If he is not competent the committee wouldn't have selected him."
Pulse Sports has gathered that three men – Kwesi Appiah, Willy Sagnol and Hugo Broos – are the frontrunners for the Black Stars job.
