Ghana and Pescara midfielder, Sulley Muntari, has disclosed that he intends to become a mechanic, rather than take up a role on the bench when he retires from football.

The former AC Milan and Inter Milan midfielder has enjoyed a glittering career so far, winning silverware in both England and Italy.

However, the Champions League winner insists he does not see himself taking up another role in football after his retirement.

According to him, he would prefer becoming a mechanic, rather than a coach.

"I don't see myself as a Coach or director. I own two car dealerships, but do you know how I see myself? As a mechanic, with my hands dirty with oil!"

Muntari owns a garage in Italy where he trades in cars, and it appears the 32-year-old holds the business in his long term plans.

The midfielder, however, refused to give any timelines with regards to his retirement from football. In his view, retirement is not something that has even crossed his mind, insisting he could play at the top level for the next six to seven years.

“I don't drink and I don't smoke, so I will play another six or seven years and then I will retire completely from football.”

Sulley Muntari is well traveled around Europe, earning notable stints with Sunderland, Portsmouth, Inter and AC Milan.
