Sammy Osei Kuffour calls for Avram Grant's sack

Ex-Black Stars defender Samuel Osei Kuffour wants the GFA to part ways with coach Avram Grant, after Ghana's semi finals defeat against Cameroon.

Samuel Osei Kuffour has called for the sack of Avram Grant as Black Stars coach, following Ghanas semi-finals defeat to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui capitalised on a defensive blunder from the Ghanaians to put Cameroon into the lead, before Christian Bassagog sealed victory for Cameroon against the run of play to end Ghana's hopes of winning their first continental title in 35 years.

Sammy Kuffour a true son of the West African powerhouse, who was a pundit on the Ghana-Cameroon game on SuperSports said after the defeat that the Ghana Football Association should sack Avram Grant since he has nothing to offer Ghanaians again.

''I'm pissed. [Avram] Grant must go. He spends all his time outside the country and does not develop any local talent. Ghana football is in crises and I'm worried about the youth,'' Kuffour remonstrated after the final whistle.

The 61-year-old former Chelsea and West Ham United boss' contract with the Black Stars will run out in this February and it looks like Grant won't be given another term.
