Ghanaians hail Black Stars 50% bonus cut

Several Ghanaians were on social media to express their joy for the decision of the Black Stars to welcome a 50%bonus slash

The new arrangement was announced by the Sports Minister designate, Hon. Isaac Asiamah at a press conference in Gabon.

“They have understood the situation we are in and also understand that the fans and the general public have spoken. The players understand this."

The new announcement means that the Black Stars will now earn $5000 per win at the tournament.

Hon. Asiamah also revealed that government will announce a special package for the team if they win the AFCON.

Ghana have already qualified for the quarter finals with a game to go. The Black Stars will take on the Pharaohs of Egypt in their final group C fixture of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday evening.
