Baba Mahama sure of earning a place in Kotoko's starting XI

My chances of securing playing time is bright - Mahama told the club’s website

Mahama joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal from Techmina City following an impregnable performance last season.

The diminutive midfielder will be battling for a position at Kotoko and he is optimistic of breaking into Dzravko Lugarusic’s starting XI.

“My chances of securing playing time is bright, Mahama told the club’s website. “I only trained on Tuesday. I know that gradually everything will be fine. The challenge is manageable. There are a lot of players here, everyone is trying hard and with hard work and determination, I will to get into the first team. I came to fight to get into the first team.”

He continued: “I didn’t come here to be a part-time player. I didn’t come here to play few matches. I rather, I came here to play more and more matches”. Baba Mahama scored four goals for Techiman City last season. The youngster believes his coming to Kotoko after just a year in the elite division was divine.

“The making of God. I admit that my progression has been fast but that is the making of God. I didn’t think for a day that I will come to Kotoko at this stage of my career. I heard of Kotoko’s interest after the first round of last season. I was happy. God knows why he brought me here this time and His plans for me will be fulfilled.”
