Ghanaian fans were delighted with the impact of Jordan Ayew after the striker scored a vital goal in the Black Stars' 2-1 over DR Congo on Sunday.
The Aston Villa striker, who has been criticised severally by Ghanaians, opened the scoring on 62 minutes, curling the ball past Ley Matampi in the Leopards goal. He was adjudged man of the match after the game.
The younger Ayew was lambasted for his unimpressive outing in Ghana’s opening win over Uganda at the Africa Cup of Nations.
But against DRC, the skillful attacker caused no end of problems for coach Florent Ibenge's side, and fans now took to Twitter to praise his performance.
