Alban Bagbin, Oppong-Nkrumah and Afenyo Markin win

Majority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for Nadowli/Kaleo constituency, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has retained his seat for the 7th time running.

He polled 6923 of valid votes cast, provisional results have suggested.

Bagbin who was seeking to represent his people retained his position to represent the party in the 2016 parliamentary elections won by a landslide after winning majority of the polling stations in the constituency.

He is being pursued by the Peoples National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah who has so far garnered 1,917 of the ballot.

Meanwhile, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has won the Ofoase-Ayirebi parliamentary seat with about 16,845 of the votes.

John Obiri Yeboah of the Progressive People's Party (PPP) has so far polled 8,751 while the NDC’s representative Tom Kenneth Budu garnered 7,847 votes.

T.V Personality, Eric Don Arthur has been floored by incumbent Member of Parliament, Alex Afenyo Markin in the Effutu constituency parliamentary elections.

Don Arthur also a consultant was seeking to annex the seat for the ruling party in that crucial tie but lost the bid bitterly to the young legal practitioner of the main opposition-New Patriotic Party(NPP).
