Call your 'Invincible Forces' to order else... - NDC to Nana Addo

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, the national chairman of the NDC Kofi Portuphy said the New Patriotic Party government and Ghanaians at large should not blame the NDC if they decide to respond to the attacks in equal measure.

“We are calling on civil society, religious bodies, the media, and the international community not to blame the NDC if the unacceptable conduct of Akufo-Addo’s Invincible Forces leads to reprisal attacks,” he said.

His warning comes on the back of seizure of state properties by alleged NPP members following the investiture of Mr Akufo-Addo.

This had often resulted in clashes between supporters of the two parties.

Mr Portuphy argued that the NDC bequeathed a “peaceful Ghana” to the NPP and hence the new administration must endeavour to protect it.

“We have worked assiduously to build peace in Ghana. We won’t destroy that peace we have bequeathed to the NPP… We have respected our security services and we hope the change of government has not changed their position,” Mr. Portuphy added.

Meanwhile, the police have vowed to deal with the culprits involved.
