He said Bawumia is noted for telling lies so he [Koku] in particular don't waste his time on Dr. Bawumia anytime he speaks.

Despite Dr Bawumia as vice president of Ghana, his image as a 'liar' and one who makes unsubstantiated claims remains, Koku Anyidoho has said.

Mr Anyidoho has been the most consistent critic of Bawumia daring him on several occasions to come up with evidence to back his assertions.

Dr Bawumia whiles leading the charge by his party in 2015 for a new voters’ register for the 2016 polls, a request later turned down by the Electoral Commission had said the NPP, after comparing the electoral registers of both Ghana and Togo, had uncovered the names citizens of Togo on Ghana’s voter register, promising to provide more names as it undertook an audit of the voter's register.

Koku Anyidoho speaking on the 100 days of the NPP in government in an interview on Accra-based Class FM said "When I was going after him on the voters’ register and hitting hard at his credibility, did you ever hear Dr Bawumia come out once to defend himself? They chose to pretend that they were not listening to what I was saying.

"He held his press conferences, he’s a PhD holder, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana and speculates on the cedi. He would do all kinds of things, but as we speak today he’s now Vice President and within 100 days he’s lost almost all his credibility."

Mr Anyidoho noted that "When you listen to the young nurses who went picketing and had to sleep at the Ministry of Health, they are telling you that Bawumia has lied. You come out to come and say you’ve employed over 11,000 nurses and the people have come out to say: ‘It is not true because we are still at home.’ You come out and say nurses’ application forms are selling at a certain rate but it has now dropped, but it is not true, a plethora of lies. When he was in opposition he said we were incompetent but now the diction has changed.

"You criticise him and he says you are ignorant, but the ignorant Ghanaians will continue to expose the lies of Bawumia and by the time it’s 2020, Bawumia would be finished, he would be damaged. If he has any dream of leading the NPP in future he should forget it."
