The Deputy General Secretary Koku Anyidoho of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the recent violent activities of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) affiliated vigilante group, Delta Force, is an indication of weak leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

"It is disgraceful and shameful what the country is experiencing under the weak leadership of President Akufo-Addo," Koku Anyidoho said.

Some members of a vigilante group Delta Force, stormed the Kumasi Circuit Court on Thursday, April 6, and freed 13 members of their group who were facing charges for causing disturbances at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.

Koku Anyidoho noted that the failure of the government to prosecute members of vigilante groups that perpetrated various forms of violence in the past, has emboldened them to commit more of such acts.

"Is this the story that Nana Akufo-Addo is telling us? That after 100 days we are discussing vigilantism? This is disgraceful and he should bow down his head in shame," he added.

Meanwhile, Koku Anyidoho said the NDC will petition the diplomatic community to place Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong on the list of international terrorists.
