NDC youth lock up party office

The action, the group leader Atsu Culture explained, was as result of the refusal of the regional executives to suspended some constituency executives who pocketed monies belonging to the party's polling agents in the 2016 elections.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) office in the Nuaso Korlenya in the Lower Manya Constituency of the Eastern Region has been locked up by a group calling itself Concerned NDC Branch Executives and Members.

He alleged that the party's polling agents were paid GHC100 instead of the budgeted GHC200.

He also claimed that the NDC's national chairman, Mr Kofi Portuphy, intervened and directed Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, MP for the constituency, to pay the polling agents within two weeks.

The MP has not paid the money, he said.

Mr Culture also alleged that the party's constituency office has been disconnected over failure to pay electricity bills for months as well as defaulting on the rent for its office.
