Voting in Jaman North postponed to Thursday

The postponement comes after the EC had a meeting with the security and approved the suspension of the voting.

Media reports earlier indicated that the presidential and parliamentary elections in the Jaman North constituency have been suspended due to an objection raised by the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The candidate, Fredrick Ahinkwaa and his agents according to reports raised an objection because he alleged that the materials provided for the election did not tally with that of the NDC.

According to him, the police had to hold five separate meetings with the parties over the matter but all proved futile.

However, the EC tweeted stating that "due to security concerns, voting postponed until tomorrow. Polling stations open from 7am to 5pm."
