Why is Nana Addo at 72, still in his father's house? - Ayariga asks

According to Mr Ayariga, Nana Addo at the age of 72 should be thinking of retiring from active politics and moving away from his father’s house.

“I made my first $1million at the age of 24 without working with any government. I have never been in a government position; I have never worked as a Minister for you to say I have stolen government money. I built my first house at the age of 22…; at age 72, my senior and my father, Nana Akufo-Addo, is still living in his father’s house. At this age 72, I would have retired from politics and been advising young men of this country to move this country forward and not contest with them anymore,” Ayariga said on Accra-based Class FM.

The APC flag bearer also argued that Nana Akufo-Addo and the PPP flag bearer, Dr Nduom have contributed to the hardship in the country.

Mr Akufo-Addo was the Foreign Affairs Minister and Attorney General under the Kufour-led government while Dr Nduom served as the Minister of Private Sector Development.

But Ayariga believes that “these people are part of the problem why Ghana is in crisis today, because they were given the opportunity to serve and have served,” the 2012 People’s National Convention presidential candidate said.

Mr Ayariga said due to the several businesses he has across the country, he is the best nominee for president in the December polls.
