The wife of the New Patriotic Party’s vice-presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has said that her recent comments describing the Mahama-led administration as incompetent were misconstrued.
Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM she said
“It is not so much what I actually said. It is the misrepresentation that people have attached. So, they have not bothered to ascertain the truth of what I have said,” Mrs Bawumia added.

Recently Samira Bawumia who is seen as a new entrant into the Ghanaian political space traded jabs with President Mahama.
At the Akojo Park in Tema during the campaign launch of the campaign of the Greater Accra NPP, Samira Bawumia said all Ghanaians see in President Mahama is a corrupt leader.
This brought her to the mercy of the NDC politicians who attacked her on many campaign platforms.

Notable among the NDC bigwigs who attacked her verbally is Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alhaji Saeed Sinari. He described Samira Bawumia as a bad Muslim wife.
But Mrs Bawumia insisted that she was misrepresented and asked the general public to disregard such reports and rather listen to the audio which she believes will vindicate her.
