An Accra High Court will today, Monday, October 31, rule on a case between Hassan Ayariga’s All People’s Congress (APC) and the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana over his disqualification from contesting in the presidential race.
This follows a court ruling asking the EC to allow the Presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) to rectify the anomalies in his nomination forms so the Commission could accept it.
Hassan Ayariga after the PPP's ruling said he was optimistic the court will rule in his favour.

Ayariga was one of the thirteen presidential hopefuls who were disqualified by the EC over some errors in their nomination forms.
The aspirant on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings also went to court to seek redress but the case was dismissed. She has since filed a fresh suit.
