Disqualified presidential nominee for the All Peoples Congress (APC) Hassan Ayariga has called off his presidential campaign ahead of the December polls.
Addressing a press conference in Accra today (Thursday) Ayariga said he was suspending his campaign pending a court ruling over his disqualification by the Electoral Commission (EC).
He however added that he will be campaigning for the various parliamentary candidates contesting on the ticket of the APC.

He also urged Judges of the court to exercise fairness as they hear the case. He said this will prevent any form of chaos ahead of the elections.

Hassan Ayariga was one of the thirteen presidential nominees disqualified by the EC for various anomalies in their nomination forms. After calling the EC boss ‘stupid’ and ‘foolish’ for disqualifying his party, he filed a suit seeking that he is allowed to contest in the upcoming elections.
