NDC finally given green light to hold primary

This was after the court presided over by Mr Justice Charles Gyamfi  on Wednesday upheld a decision by the National Executive Committee of the party to disqualify one of the aspirants who filed his nomination to contest the party's parliamentary primary in the constituency.

The plaintiff in the case, Mr Berrick was disqualified by the party as a result of his alleged association with the National Democratic Party (NDP).

He later filed an injunction to prevent the party from going ahead with the primary. The injunction application was granted. However, on Wednesday, the Tamale Court upheld the earlier decision of the party to disqualify him. Two others were also disqualified.
