Service recruitment exercises have over the years been burdened with many irregularities. Many civilians liaise with some police officers to swindle unsuspecting Ghanaians of thousands of cedis after promising to have them recruited into the Police Service.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has already begun its next phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise, which is the selection stage.

According to the police, the forged documents could either be an academic certificate or a birth certificate.

The police said applicants can log onto the police website: www.police.gov.gh for the same information.
