President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Afia Akoto as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
A letter of appointment dated 2 March 2017 read "I am pleased to inform you that the president has appointed you the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC)".

The president charged Ms Akoto to discharge her duties with the great sense of professionalism.

"Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment," the letter stated.
However, she will assist an investment consulted, Stephen Amoah who was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of MASLOC.
Sticker, as the dye-in-the-wool NPP stalwart is affectingly referred to; takes over from Mrs. Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, who headed the centre during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government and is expected to discharge his duties with greet sense of professionalism.

Until his appointment, Stephen Amoah was a part-time lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the Acting Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NPP and was the director of operations for the party during the just-ended parliamentary and presidential elections.
